Former McDonald’s High School All-American Nominee and Gatorade High School Basketball Player of the Year in the State of Minnesota 1989.  Lead Armstrong High School to two consecutive State Runner-up Boy’s Basketball finishes in’88 and ’89.

 

College
Earned a full-scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and play basketball for the Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten Conference from 1989 – 1994.  Earned teams Most Improved Player Award in ’93 as the teams sixth man finishing the year as the team’s third leading scorer and the Big Ten Conference’s fifth best 3-point shooter (in accuracy) off the bench behind teammates Tracey Webster, current assistant coach for the Kentucky Wildcats and Michael Finely, former NBA All-Star and member of the NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs.

 

University of Wisconsin coaches included: Stu Jackson, current NBA Vice President of Operations and former Head Coach of The New York Knicks; Stan Van Gundy, current Head Coach of the NBA Orlando Magic; Sean Miller, current Head Coach of Xavier University and former starting point guard standout at the University of Pittsburg; and other notables.

Coaching Experience:

Over ten years of basketball coaching experience at several levels including: varsity coaching experience at Blaine H.S., Armstrong H.S., Roosevelt H.S., and Robbinsdale Cooper H.S.,  Additionally, has earned  experience coaching at various Timberwolves, Gophers, and Badgers Summer Basketball Camps.

 

Notable players coached include: Mike Ludwig, current Sports Information Director of St. Olaf College (MIAC Conference) and second all-time leading scorer (1635)of the St. Olaf Basketball Team —graduating in ‘03; And Rodney Williams Jr., current star high school recruit of the University of Minnesota  (Big Ten Conference) lead by Head Coach Tubby Smith.
